Follow Up - Telerik Codeless Ajax Webcast

by JoeStagner 3/30/2007 12:37:02 AM

Many thanks to the nearly 500 people who attended my webcast with Telerik yesterday.

Todd is working on getting the code for me to post. (Since some of the demo was for an unreleased product he needs to try to find a .dll that we can include.

You can see all the answers to the questions that we didn’t have time for HERE.

You can get the PowerPoint HERE.

Enjoyed the presentation. Gives a great description on ASP.NET AJAX and how cool it is.

Very neat. ;)

Was having audio problems during the presentation, will this be available as a download to watch the presentation?

Hi Joe,

I don't see the question I posed during the webcast listed here.

Microsoft's existing ASP.NET 2.0 TreeView control is not full AJAX.ASP.NET compatible in that it cannot be used inside an AJAX Update Panel. There has been much discussion on this on ajax.asp.net. Does the Telerik AJAX Manager solve this problem, or would I need to buy Telerik's TreeView control? If all the AJAX Manager does it put in the Update Panels for me, then I don't think it would address the issue.

Along those same lines, any idea when Microsoft will patch its TreeView control to get around this limitation?

Thank you for your time.

Ed.

This was a great webcast, Joe. Please do more stuff on the Telerik components. I've been using their controls for 2 years now and love them. Thanks Smile

I viewed the webcast and asked if the sample was available in VB. The response was the sample was being coded in VB. I downloaded the Telerik-HelpDesk-Trial-CTP from http://www.joeon.net/ (the default page) and it is in C# ... is there going to be a VB version?
